Makeup

Okay, so I wias in superdrug yesterday with my best friend, and i've gotta be honest, i never knew that Accessorize had their own makeup brand, so I decided to buy some of their products. I only bought 2 items but i will definatly focus on buying some in the future. All of their makeup is highly pigmented and worth every penny.  I personally love their lipsticks and blushers as I did buy one of each yesterday, be sure to check out a review of accessorize makeup in general which will be posted onto my youtube channel as soon as i have enough products to review.

I am in love with this Face Cream!!

Okay, so, I had run out of face cream the other day and needed to purchase a new one, and I came across this brand named 'The Beauty Parlour' and noticed that they had a Face Cream for two pounds and though that i'd give it a go, and after using this cream for the first time, there is no turning back!

This cream is so soft and seeps into the skin amazingly! It smells amazing also and is so cheap for a 100ml bottle!

As far as I know this brand is only available for the people in the UK in Superdrug so sorry guys! but if you get the chance you MUST try it out because it is jut amazing!!!

So....it's September...I wonder what cosmetics are in store for this season...?

Wooly hats, Dark/White eyeshadows are perfect for the new Winter season ahead of us...maybe a nice...'WINTER WONDERLAND' makeup tutorial perhaps? Post any ideas that you may have for my 'Winter Wonderland' tutorial below, all credits will go to those who give ideas when the video is up, so for your chance to be mentioned in a Makeup Video, read the Policies below:

NEW Collection 2000 Fake Tan!!!

Okay, so I went a bit wild today and bought more make-up related items and I came across this. Collection 2000 have now brought out an instant tan in 2 shades, light/medium or medium/dark, i purchased the 'light/medium' shade as I am quite fair skinned. However, for £4.19 from Superdrug, it is definatly something to invest in. Most fake tans these days leave an orange tinge to the skin, however, THIS fake tan leaves a very fresh and natural looking tan without the orangy tinge and is the perfect necessity to have if you want the fresh tanned look but can't afford a vacation in a hot country.

I like this because it sinks in nicely and also washes off easily so you don't have the residue of the tan left after it has faded. It has loads in it so is bound to last for ages depending on how much of a tan fanatic you are, but an upside to it is that it can also be used for the body as well as the face.

Definatly try it out, and if you try it out or already own it, tell me what you think.

DIY: Inexpensive Lush Lipgloss 'Passionate' Duplicate

I'm sure many of you have heard about Lush's new makeup line Emotional Brilliance.  It is based around the idea of colour therapy and choosing colours based on your personality and mood. Personally, I love the colour, but for the whopping price of £14.50, they can keep it. The colour is gorgeous and the pigmentation is amazing as shown below but I would rather invest in a cheaper version.

I really really love this colour lipgloss but I haven't seemed to find a dupe of 'Passionate' by Lush so I managed to create my own dupe of it using a similar colour eyeshadow.

To make the duplicate of 'Passionate' you want to start off with applying a soft, glossy lip balm to clean lips.
(Price varies, cheapest is £0.50 from local Drug Stores)

Then you want to get the 'Sleek MakeUp Palette in Acid 570'
(£7.99 from the official www.sleekmakeup.com website)

To make the lipgloss, you are going to use the bright pinky/purply colour (Top Left).
Just use the eyeshadow brush to distribute it evenly over your lips, and to finish you can add a touch of shimmery lipgloss to create the shimmery look of the lipgloss.

There you go! Your own dupe! Hope you liked it!!

Nic's Heavenly Hair Tint Recipe

Okay Guys! I have just invented an awesome DIY Wash-out Hair Tint for you guys to try at home!
As you guys should know by now, my hair is meant to be Purple, but these days it is starting to fade, waaa :'(  so I have come up with an alternative to permanent hair dye which will mess up my hair even more. The tint I made was purple hence you should be able to see above, it does look more noticeable in person but you can kind of see the difference on the picture.

So... For this Recipe you will need:
EYESHADOW
So, as we are going to be using loads of eyeshadow for the job, I recommend  that you use a cheap eyeshadow, only because if you use an expensive one like mac, it wont be there for long. So for my tutorial I am using the deep purple MUA eyeshadow (£1) (bottom right)

HAIRSPRAY
This is the hairspray that I used. It is the best hairspray I have ever used and is so worth buying!

ARGAN OIL
You might be thinking to yourself 'WTF? ARGAN OIL, WHY??' well, the reason why is to protect your hair!

WATERLESS FOAM SHAMPOO
We are only using this for the foam part. You'll see why later.

STEP BY STEP

  1. Find a bowl of some sort (preferably plastic) and use a small brush or tool to empty about 1/4 of the chosen eyeshadow into the bowl.
  2. (Preferably sprayable) Spray 1 pump of Argan Oil to the eyeshadow and use a small brush to stir it into the eyeshadow to break up the lumps.
  3. Add a pump of hairspray to the mixture and keep on stiring until you cannot see any lumps left of the eyeshadow. You should just be left with a purple mixture.
4. Pump some of the Waterless Foam Shampoo into the mixture. The amount sprayed is dependant to the volume of hair you will be covering.
  • FULL HEAD - 5-6 PUMPS
  • HALF HEAD - 3-4 PUMPS
  • A SMALL AREA - 1-2 PUMPS
(all is dependant on the thickness of your hair)

5. Use a small brush to fold the foam into the mixture. DO NOT STIR IT otherwise the air will be released from the foam and will cause it to turn to liquid (add more foam if necessary). Just fold the mixture(s) in on eachother until a purple foam is formed.
6. Once the foam has been formed, section your hair depending on how much hair you are tinting and   then rub the foam mixture over that area of hair. Your hands will get a bit messy but it will wash off.

All products used in this recipe do not have to be the same brands. The hair tint will last depending on how often you wash your hair. It is most likely to wash out during the first wash but some residue may be left behind but will be gone by the second wash.

Thanks for reading guys! Hope you enjoyed this homemade recipe!!!!!!!
